Did I ever tell you that we had some great help with the music on our movie? An Oklahoma band called the Grown Ups contributed a wonderful tune called Nothing Like You. I have heard that the band is no longer together, but band member, Cory Perschbacher is still producing work aimed at the movie market. Several of his tunes were used in Bikini Vampire Babes. That's his tune playing when the title comes up on the screen.
There are also a couple of memorable rockabilly tunes from Joe Buck Yourself. Devil is on His Way is perfect music for our strut down the hall. That's not his music on the trailer, so you do have to get a copy of the movie to check that out. Demon in my Head is also a great tune and although he didn't write it about me, he should have.
And finally, if you haven't checked it out, John Jos Miller has posted a review of BVB on his blog, Cheese Magnet. A big thanks to John for reviewing our movie. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Oops, it's time for me to go find a nice midnight snack. See you later!

Coppercon 2011
Vampires Werewolves Demons-Oh My! I do have to say that I love the theme for CopperCon 31. I've been told that Catherine Book is the fabulous organizer of CopperCon and that she does a great job. Coppercon is set for this weekend, September 2-5 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Avondale, Arizona which is in the Phoenix area.
Literary guests include Carrie Vaughn and Janni Lee Simner amoung others. There are several literature and science panels and workshops, including one of my favorites, belly dancing!
Bikini Vampire Babes will be shown at the conference on Sunday night and Monday afternoon. Thanks Catherine!

Bubonicon Update
The Evil Macintosh Queen (aka Loretta) met with author George R. R. Martin at Bubonicon science fiction and fantasy convention in Albuquerque. Most of you know that Martin is the bestselling author of many books and the highly rated Game of Thrones TV series on HBO. He is now the proud new owner of a copy of BVB and he says he is anxious to see the movie! A big thank you to George.
I hope you enjoy it!
Alas, there was no dedicated video room, but the trailer for BVB was shown Saturday night at the convention's "Saturday Nite Cinema Theatre" hosted by Adam J. Brown, which featured another independent flick called Stiffed by Devin O. Leary of Alburquerque. Stiffed featured bank robbers turned zombies.
More than 600 people are attending Bubonicon including authors Diana Gabaldon, Ben Bova, Connie Willis, Mario Acevedo and many others.

Bubonicon!
Bubonicon is happening this weekend, August 26-28 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Many thanks to Loretta McKibben and her good friend, Diana Gabaldon for helping to promote Bikini Vampire Babes at the con. For those of you who have followed Game of Thrones on HBO, the author, George R. R. Martin will also be there plus a whole host of other science fiction and fantasy fanatics.
Maybe you have wondered about the name of the con. It seems that there are cases of bubonic plague that occasionally occur in NM. It doesn't happen often, so your chances of getting hit by a truck or bitten by a vampire are higher.
Mmm, I want me some red and green chili, so that's two reasons to visit the "land of enchantment".It sounds like good geekie fun and probably great possibilites for one of my favorite midnight snacks with some red and green chili on the side.

Can't Stand the Heat?
Good friends in Texas and Oklahoma have been whining and complaining about the 2 months of 3 digit heat. Waaaah!
Welcome to the first level of hell! I guess I could bite them and turn them so that the heat isn't an issue any longer. There would be quite a run on black bikinis and bathing suits, but this late into the season, they could hit a good sale.
A lot of them are just chilling inside with a good beer in front of the boob tube (remember that term?) I just hope I'm included in that video selection.
